    Why Mediation?

    Party-derived solution

Mediation puts the ultimate resolution in the parties’ hands. Mediation offers a party-derived solution.

    Trained to guide parties

Mediators are trained to guide parties Where they express their interests, and move towards a quick, effective, custom resolution, in an environment which supports resolution and preserves costs.

Saves time, money and emotional distress

Instead of a judge, the parties decide.  Mediation saves time, money and emotional distress.

    Tailored results

Mediation has been used for thousands of years to guide parties to a tailored result and our mediators have decades of experience in dispute resolution.

When you need help settling a dispute, mediation can be an effective alternative to court proceedings. Forcing an adverse party to court is expensive, time consuming and stressful. By using a mediator, both parties are given a neutral ear and the benefit of a confidential, private means of coming to an agreement.

Mediation can be helpful in many situations ranging from divorce and family matters to corporate disagreements and estate settlement. The mediator acts as a third party, to improve communication between the disagreeing parties and find a suitable means of settling the dispute.

Can you have a lawyer or representative present for the mediation session?

Yes! Your lawyer can attend and you can always consult with your kawyer. Your lawyer will observe and the mediator will guide the process.

    How much does mediation cost?

Our fees are reasonable and at a fraction of the cost of attorneys in drawn out court cases. Contact us now for a consultation and assessment of fees. Most matters can be resolved in a 4-8 hour mediation session and fees range from $1,000 to $4,000.00

    Is mediation right for you?

Yes! Mediation offers an effective, quick resolution to all types of disputes, disagreements and issues. From Family Court, Custody and Divorce/Separation matters to Estate and Guardianship disputes, and everything in between, mediation offers an opportunity to manage the time, place and manner of resolving your matter. Mediation allows you to work with the other party through a guided process to reach an outcome that suits your needs. Mediation allows you to be seen and heard in a private, safe, confidential environment.

What are the outcomes of mediation?

Mediation usually results in a written agreement. Mediation can also produce a verbal agreement or a better understanding of the conflict which assists in dispute resolution at a later date. Mediation is CONFIDENTIAL and VOLUNTARY. If mediation is not working for you, you have the option to leave at any time. Mediation always provides an ideal opportunity to resolve conflict and enter into an agreement that can be enforced in Court.

What is the difference between mediation and litigation?

Mediation is an alternative to litigation. Mediation gives the parties an opportunity to reach a resolution with the guidance of a skilled mediator. Mediation often results in a more personalized, customized resolution. Litigation can be expensive, frustrating and time-consuming. In court, you have a judge making all of the decisions, so you lose a lot of control over the outcomes.

Part of that process involves the client and I getting to know each other and also discovering commonalities and quirks within ourselves which may be impediments to growth. I think my best work with clients has an element of self-discovery for both the client and me.”
